Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing personally identifying by default. The Site has no accounts, no login, and no required signup. We do not ask for or directly store your name, email, payment, or precise location unless you explicitly submit the optional newsletter form (see "Newsletter (optional)" below) — in which case we only collect what you typed into that form.

Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, time and URL of the request, referring page) for a short rolling window for security and abuse prevention.

Cookies and storage

Non-essential cookies are denied by default and only set after you accept via the cookie banner. The Site writes the following keys to your browser's local storage when relevant. None of them leave your device.

• wc-cookie-consent-v1 — your accept or reject choice.
• wc-origin-iata — your selected departure airport (pre-fills flight searches).
• wc-origin-picker-dismissed-v1 — whether you closed the origin picker.
• wc-pwa-dismissed-v1 — whether you dismissed the install-as-app prompt.
• wc-news-cache-v1 — short cache of the news ticker to reduce API calls.

You can change your cookie choice any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, or reset everything by clearing site data in your browser.

Analytics

With your consent, we use a privacy-aware analytics service to see which pages are visited and how people navigate the Site. The data is aggregated and pseudonymous: pages viewed, approximate country, device type, referring source. We do not use analytics for advertising or behavioral profiling. If you decline, no analytics script loads.

Newsletter (optional)

If — and only if — you submit the newsletter signup form on the homepage, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. We use this solely to send you the match-day newsletter described next to the form. Submissions are processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-relay service that forwards your message to our inbox; from there we add you to a plain mailing list we maintain manually (no automated drip, no profiling, no third-party ad networks). We never share or sell your address. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any newsletter email or by mailing contact@worldcuptravelguide2026.com — we'll delete your address from the list on request.

Affiliate links

Many outbound links on the Site (hotels, flights, eSIM, insurance, tickets, transfers, tours, and similar) are affiliate links. When you click one and complete a purchase, the merchant pays us a small commission. The price you pay is not affected. The link may carry a non-personal identifier in its URL so the merchant can credit the referral. It does not identify you.

Third-party services on the Site

The Site loads assets from a few standard third-party providers: a typography service, a hosting and content delivery network, a maps provider, and the analytics service above. Each provider has its own publicly available privacy policy. We do not share personal information with them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority. California residents have similar rights under CCPA and CPRA. We do not sell personal information.

Because we do not collect personally identifying information directly, our ability to act on a request is limited to what we actually hold. Contact us at the address below to exercise any right.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we update this policy we will revise the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
